King Cecil Books publishes only humanitarian nonfiction. We accept submissions that are both unsolicited and agent-represented. Please see below the instructions for submitting your work by either of these means:

 

Unsolicited submissions:  Email submissions only; query letter and letter proposal.

Please email your name, address, telephone number, and a one to three-paragraph synopsis of your work, along with the manuscript attached as a Word or RTF file,
unsolicited.submissions@everlybooks.com. 

 

Agented submissions: Email submissions are strongly preferred. Please first query the editor-in-chief, George Taft, by email (agt.submissions@everlybooks.com). The email should include a one-to-three-paragraph synopsis of the project and a brief description of the author’s marketing platform (including any previous publications, copies of print/digital reviews, and media appearances). Once prompted, you may submit a full or partial manuscript or a detailed outline.

 

A full manuscript is preferred for first-time authors.
